ADRB2
ADRB2 receptor is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. The class C L-type calcium channel Ca(V)1.2, one of its ultimate effectors, is closely connected to this receptor. A G protein, an adenylyl cyclase, cAMP-dependent kinase, and the counterbalancing phosphatase PP2A are also present in this receptor-channel complex. This G protein-coupled receptor has a mechanism that ensures quick and precise signaling through the construction of the signaling complex. Both the alpha-synuclein gene and this receptor's transcriptional regulator are thought to be linked to an increased risk of Parkinson's disease. This gene lacks an intron. Obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, nocturnal asthma, and other polymorphic forms, point mutations, and/or downregulation of this gene are all linked to these conditions.
