THRA
This gene encodes a triiodothyronine nuclear hormone receptor protein. It has been demonstrated that this thyroid hormone receptor, one of many, mediates the physiologic actions of thyroid hormone. Despite some degree of redundancy, knockout studies in mice reveal that the various receptors may mediate various functions of thyroid hormone.
