TAAR5
Trimethylamine, a trace amine, has a unique olfactory receptor called TAAR5. Dimethylethylamine activates it as well, albeit at a lesser amount. Trimethylaminuria and Pancreatic Somatostatinoma are two conditions linked to TAAR5. Class A and ADORA2B-mediated anti-inflammatory cytokine production are two of its related mechanisms. Trimethylamine receptor activity and G protein-coupled receptor activity are two Gene Ontology (GO) annotations connected to this gene.
