SSTR2
Somatostatin inhibits the release of several hormones and other secretory proteins by acting at numerous locations. Somatostatin's biological actions are most likely controlled by a family of tissue-specific G protein-coupled receptors. SSTR2 belongs to a superfamily of seven transmembrane segmented receptors and is most highly expressed in the kidney and cerebrum.
