SCN3A
A big alpha subunit with 24 transmembrane domains and one or more regulatory beta subunits make up the transmembrane glycoprotein complexes that make up voltage-gated sodium channels. They are in charge of the production and transmission of action potentials in muscles and neurons. This gene, which is one of five alpha subunit genes on chromosome 2, encodes a member of the sodium channel gene family.
