S1PR1
This gene encodes a protein that is highly expressed in endothelial cells and shares structural similarities with G protein-coupled receptors. It binds the ligand sphingosine-1-phosphate with high affinity and high specificity, and believed to be involved in the mechanisms that regulate the development of endothelial cells. Cell-cell adhesion is brought on by this receptor's activation. PDGFR-beta signaling pathway and S1P1 pathway are two of its related pathways. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations connected to this gene include G protein-coupled receptor activity and sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor activity.
