RXRG
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the nuclear receptor family known as the retinoid X receptor (RXR), which is involved in mediating the antiproliferative effects of retinoic acid (RA). Together with the retinoic acid, thyroid hormone, and vitamin D receptors, this receptor forms dimers that enhance transcriptional activity on the corresponding response elements and DNA binding. Non-small cell lung cancer cells express this gene at a much lower level.
