RXRA
Nuclear receptors called retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and retinoic acid receptors (RARs) participate in retinoic acid-mediated gene activation to mediate the biological effects of retinoids. By adhering as homodimers or heterodimers to particular regions in the promoters of target genes, these receptors act as transcription factors. This gene produces a protein that belongs to the superfamily of transcriptional regulators called steroid and thyroid hormone receptors.
