PDGFRB
This gene encodes a protein that functions as a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor for the family of platelet-derived growth factors. These growth factors function as mitogens in mesenchymal stem cells. The functional receptor is either a homodimer (PDGFB or PDGFD) or a heterodimer (PDGFA and PDGFB) depending on the type of growth factor that is linked to a receptor monomer. This gene assists in the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and is necessary for the appropriate development of the cardiovascular system.
