P2RX7
This gene's product is a member of the purinoceptors for ATP family. The ATP-dependent lysis of macrophages is carried out by this receptor, which also acts as a ligand-gated ion channel, by creating membrane holes that are permeable to big molecules. Cellular activity may be connected to variations in gene expression via activation of this nuclear receptor by ATP in the cytoplasm.
