OXGR1
This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor that is a member of the GPCR superfamily's oxoglutarate receptor family. The citric acid intermediate oxoglutarate and a number of cysteinyl leukotrienes, such as leukotrienes E4, C4, and D4, which are linked to various inflammatory diseases, activate the encoded protein. A knockout of this gene results in hearing loss, alterations to the mucosal epithelium, middle ear inflammation, and an increase in fluid behind the eardrum in mice.
