LPAR5

A member of the rhodopsin class of G protein-coupled transmembrane receptors is encoded by this gene. Through heterotrimeric G proteins, this protein communicates extracellular signals from lysophosphatidic acid to cells and facilitates a variety of biological functions. Its associated pathways include Class A/1 and GPCR downstream signaling (Rhodopsin-like receptors). G protein-coupled receptor activity is one of the Gene Ontology (GO) annotations connected to this gene.
