LHCGR
This gene encodes the choriogonadotropin and luteinizing hormone receptors. This receptor is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, and G proteins that activate adenylate cyclase are responsible for its action. Familial male precocious puberty, also known as testotoxicosis, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, Leydig cell adenoma with precocious puberty, and male pseudohermaphtoditism with Leydig cell hypoplasia are all disorders of the development of the male secondary sexual character caused by mutations in this gene.
