HLA-E
HLA-E belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. A heavy chain and a light chain form a heterodimer in this class I molecule (beta-2 microglobulin). The membrane serves as the anchor for the hefty chain. A small subset of peptides produced from the leader peptides of other class I molecules are recognized by HLA-E.
