GPR143
This gene encodes a protein that attaches to heterotrimeric G proteins and targets pigment cell melanosomes. It is believed that this protein contributes to intracellular signal transduction pathways. Ocular albinism type 1, also known as Nettleship-Falls type ocular albinism, is a severe vision condition that is brought on by mutations in this gene.
