GLP2R

This gene encodes a G protein-coupled receptor that interacts to glucagon-like peptide-2 and is closely linked to the glucagon receptor (GLP2). With increased crypt cell proliferation and decreased enterocyte apoptosis, GLP2 signaling promotes intestinal development and raises villus height in the small intestine. ADORA2B-mediated anti-inflammatory cytokine production and Class A/1 are two of its associated mechanisms (Rhodopsin-like receptors). Glucagon receptor activity and G protein-coupled receptor activity are two Gene Ontology (GO) annotations connected to this gene.
