CRHR2
This gene produces a protein that is a member of the corticotropin-releasing hormone receptor subfamily and the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family. This receptor has a strong affinity for the hormone corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) and can bind peptides that are linked to CRH, like urocortin. The hypothalamus produces CRH, which is crucial for coordinating the endocrine, autonomic, and behavioral reactions to stress and immunological assault.
