CCR7
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the family of G protein-coupled receptors. This receptor was shown to be an Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-induced gene, and it is believed to be a mediator of EBV effects on B cells. This receptor induces B and T cell activation and is expressed in a variety of lymphoid organs. It has been demonstrated to promote dendritic cell maturation and regulate memory T cell migration to inflammatory regions. According to reports, this receptor prefers the chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 19 (CCL19/ECL). This receptor's signals may also have a role in the activation and polarization of T cells as well as the pathophysiology of chronic inflammation. They also regulate T cell homeostasis in lymph nodes.
