C3AR1
Anaphylatoxin C3a is released when the complement system is activated. Orphan G protein-coupled receptor for C3a is the protein that this gene encodes. Chemotaxis, granule enzyme release, superoxide anion generation, and bacterial opsonization are all triggered by C3a binding to the C3AR1 receptor. Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, Atypical 1, and Complement Component 3 Deficiency are diseases connected to C3AR1. The complement cascade and GPCR downstream signaling are two of its associated mechanisms. G protein-coupled receptor activity and complement component C3a receptor activity are two Gene Ontology (GO) annotations associated with this gene.
