ADRA2A
The superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors includes ADRA2A receptors. They play a role in controlling the central nervous system's sympathetic and adrenergic neurons' production of neurotransmitter molecules. Adrenergic receptors found in the heart, blood arteries, and kidney are activated by the sympathetic nervous system, which controls cardiovascular function. Motion Sickness and Gilles De La Tourette Syndrome are two conditions linked to ADRA2A. Response to increased platelet cytosolic Ca2+ and activation of cAMP-dependent PKA are two of its associated mechanisms. G protein-coupled receptor activity and protein heterodimerization activity are two GO annotations for this gene.
