    Applications
TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1) is a key kinase involved in the innate immune response against viral infections. It plays a role in the activation of transcription factor IRF3, which is important for antiviral immune response and pathogen clearance. Studies have shown that TBK1 is regulated by various proteins and molecules, including BLK (B lymphoid tyrosine kinase), lncRNA-BTX (long noncoding RNA between Tbk1 and Xpot), SARS-CoV-2 protein ORF3c, and SARS-CoV-2 protein NSP9. These proteins and molecules interact with TBK1 to modulate its activity and downstream signaling pathways, leading to the production of antiviral cytokines and the promotion of viral replication. Targeting TBK1 and its regulators may have therapeutic potential for enhancing viral clearance and controlling cytokine storms associated with viral infections.
