In cotransfected HEK-293 cells, a histogram showing the relative FRET efficiency is shown. In its initial state, SSTR4/dOR occurs as preformed heterodimers. Keep in mind the decrease in relative FRET efficiency when SST or SSTR4 specific agonists are present. The relative FRET efficiency was increased by SB-205607 alone or in conjunction with SST or L-803087.

This study validates earlier findings about the relationship between ACEs and overall self-efficacy and a risk for suicide. Additionally, SSTR4 rs2567608 TT patients with AD may be more susceptible to ACEs and have a higher chance of attempting suicide.
