    Applications
P2Y receptors are found in a variety of organs, which suggests that they play important functions in both healthy and pathological circumstances. Along with P2RY12 and P2RY14, P2RY13 is one of the most recent P2Y receptors to be discovered. It belongs to the Gi-coupled P2Y receptor subfamily and can respond to ADP. This novel ADP receptor, which has pharmacological properties with P2RY12 receptors but has distinct properties and functions, is highlighted by pharmacology study. The signaling capabilities of P2RY13 go beyond and beyond those of a Gi-coupled receptor. Along with coupling to different G proteins, it has the ability to activate a number of intracellular pathways that are linked to the activation of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase axis and MAPKs. The customized P2RY13 stable cell line can be used in antibody discovery and development, potential drug candidate screening and signaling pathway researches.

    Research Highlights

By turning on the IL-6/STAT3 pathway, P2Y13 can exacerbate the breakdown of the intestinal mucosal barrier. Potential therapeutic targets for UC include P2Y13.

P2RY13 has a strong correlation with the TME in LUAD and may serve as a prognostic indication. To validate the current findings, however, more experimental research is needed.
