    Applications
NLRP1 is a biomarker implicated in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of systemic sclerosis (SSc). It is involved in the fibrotic process of SSc and is intertwined with other biomarkers such as transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β). NLRP1 is also associated with other diseases, including ovarian cancer and pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC). In ovarian cancer, a pyroptosis-related long non-coding RNA signature involving NLRP1 was identified, which can be used for prognosis and constructing a ceRNA regulatory network. In PDAC, higher pyroptosis activity mediated by NLRP1 is associated with poor prognosis and oxaliplatin resistance. Additionally, NLRP1 is highly expressed in prostate cancer and facilitates tumorigenesis by promoting the maturation and release of inflammatory cytokines. In macrophages, MafB regulates NLRP3 inflammasome activation by sustaining p62 expression. Overall, NLRP1 has diverse applications in various diseases.
