    Applications
According to certain theories, HTR1F and adenylyl cyclase inhibition are linked. The suppression of plasma extravasation in the dura, a feature of neurogenic inflammation thought to be a potential migraine trigger, is connected to the activation of 5-HT1Fs in vivo. Since 5-HT1F receptors are not found in blood vessels, their activation does not cause the human vasculature to contract. As a result, 5-HT1F agonists would work without the undesirable cardiovascular side effects, which is a huge benefit in the treatment of migraine. Additionally, a great deal of preclinical research has shown that the 5-HT1F mechanism appears to be predominantly mediated by reduction of pain signal transmission in the TNC (Tenascin C), in keeping with the central location of this receptor in the brainstem. With the aim that this mechanism could relieve migraine headaches by preventing the production of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides and interrupting pain signal transmission without vasoconstriction, several 5-HT1F selective agonists have been created. The customized HTR1F stable cell line can be used in antibody discovery and development, potential drug candidate screening and signaling pathway researches.
