    Applications
Kinase tyrosine-protein The HCK gene in humans codes for the enzyme HCK. The protein-tyrosine kinase that this gene encodes is a member of the Src family of tyrosine kinases and is mostly expressed in hemopoietic cell types. The protein that has been encoded might assist in coupling the Fc receptor to the respiratory burst's activation. In drug-tolerant cancer cells, HCK and the Src family kinases have also been linked to promoting cell survival. Furthermore, it might have an impact on neutrophil migration and degranulation. When a non-AUG (CUG) codon is used as an alternative translation initiation point, two distinct isoforms with distinct subcellular locations are produced. The customized HCK stable cell line can be used in antibody discovery and development, potential drug candidate screening and signaling pathway researches.

    Research Highlights

Since of its crystal structure, HCK is a desirable target for therapy since it can both directly and indirectly block the proliferation of cancer cells and the alterations in the tumor microenvironment that promote tumor growth.

A member of the Src family protein-tyrosine kinases (SFKs), hematopoietic cell kinase (HCK) is mostly expressed in myeloid and B lymphocyte lineage cells. The functions of HCK in glioblastoma (GBM) are yet to be investigated, nevertheless.
