PTH2R
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family. This protein functions as a parathyroid hormone receptor (PTH). Compared to parathyroid hormone receptor 1, this receptor is more selective in ligand recognition and has a more focused tissue distribution. It is mostly found in the brain and pancreas and is exclusively triggered by PTH, not parathyroid hormone-like hormone (PTHLH).
