LILRB1
The leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family includes this gene. The encoded protein is a member of the LIR receptor subfamily B class, which has two to four extracellular immunoglobulin domains, one transmembrane domain, and two to four cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). The receptor is found in immune cells, where it interacts with MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells to provide a signal that prevents the initiation of an immune response. To assist focus the immune response and reduce autoreactivity, it is believed to control inflammatory reactions and cytotoxicity.
