FCGR2A
This gene, which is present on the surface of numerous immune response cells, encodes one member of a family of immunoglobulin Fc receptor genes. This gene produces a protein that functions as a cell surface receptor on phagocytic cells like neutrophils and macrophages, where it is essential for the phagocytosis and removal of immune complexes.
