Published Data
Fig.1 AURKB expression in cell line panel and drug response to barasertib.
Although at varied levels, overall expression of MYCN/MYC and AURKB was confirmed by western immunoblotting. All cell lines were found to contain TP53, with the exception of SK-N-AS and LAN-1, which have homozygous deletions of exons 10 and 11 and a harmful TP53 mutation (546C>A), respectively.

Research Highlights
This work suggests that AURKB is a good target for therapy in the treatment of gastric cancer since it shows that AURKB may enhance gastric carcinogenesis by epigenetically increasing CCND1 expression.

AURKB levels are overexpressed in BRCA and are associated with a poor survival rate. Reversine modulates the aurora B, which in turn leads to the anti-growth action in BRCA cell lines, particularly for TNBC.
