    Applications
Instructions for producing a protein that is highly active in the nervous system are provided by the AKT3 gene. One of the main regulators of the PI3K-AKT-mTOR chemical signaling pathway is the AKT3 protein. Numerous essential cell processes, such as the synthesis of new proteins, cell division and development, and cell survival, are influenced by this signaling. The proper development of numerous bodily organs, including the brain, depends on the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway. Research indicates that brain size is mostly determined by the AKT3 protein. The customized AKT3 stable cell line can be used in antibody discovery and development, potential drug candidate screening and signaling pathway researches.

    Published Data

Fig.1 AKT3 expression is inversely correlated to miR-122 levels in HCC cell lines.

Several HCC cell lines were used to evaluate the AKT3 transcript level standardized to its expression in normal liver (right Y axis) and normalized miR-122 expression (left Y axis).

    Research Highlights

AKT3, or v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 3, is a member of the protein kinase B (PKB) family and encodes a 479 amino acid protein. It is found on chromosome 1q44. A common occurrence in 1q44 deletion syndrome patients with dysmorphic traits, intellectual impairment, and microcephaly is this gene.

An essential function of the PKB/Akt/phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway is to control cell survival, proliferation, and metabolism.
