    Product Overview
    The lentivirus product encodes Human ADORA3. To produce lentivirus particles, the transfer plasmid containing the Human ADORA3, the envelope plasmid, and the packaging plasmid are co-transfected into the packaging cell line. The lentivirus particles are purified and concentrated using sucrose gradient ultracentrifugation to ensure quality. Viral titer is then determined using RT-qPCR with primers to the elements present in the viral genome. The viral particles are shipped overnight and can be used immediately for in vitro or in vivo research. The lentiviruses are packaged using 3rd generation lentiviral plasmids, and replication-incompetent.

    Safety Notes
    Since the HIV genes are expressed from packaging plasmids devoid of the packing signal, none of the HIV genes will be expressed in the transduced cells. The pseudotyped lentiviruses need to be used in a Biosafety Level 2 facility even if they are replication-incompetent.

    This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the family of adenosine receptors, which are G-protein-coupled receptors that are involved in a variety of intracellular signaling pathways and physiological functions. The receptor encoded by this gene mediates a sustained cardioprotective function during cardiac ischemia, it is involved in the inhibition of neutrophil degranulation in neutrophil-mediated tissue injury, it has been implicated in both neuroprotective and neurodegenerative effects, and it may also mediate both cell proliferation and cell death. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. This gene shares its 5' terminal exon with some transcripts from overlapping GeneID:57413, which encodes an immunoglobulin domain-containing protein.
