A vital biogenic monoamine neurotransmitter involved in numerous physiological processes is norepinephrine (NE). However, due in part to the limitations of currently available tools for quantifying NE in vivo, its precise dynamics and control remain poorly understood. To get around these restrictions, scientists created a number of genetically encoded single-wavelength fluorescent GPCR activation-based NE (GRAB_NE) sensors with quick response times, a 200 percent F/F0 dynamic range, and spectra, brightness, and photostability that are comparable to EGFP. The GRAB_NE sensors easily provided reliable and chemical-specific NE signals in the application evaluated. Under a variety of physiological and pathological circumstances, the GRAB_NE sensors offer a potent imaging-based probe for evaluating the cell-specific control of noradrenergic transmission. Creative Biolabs provides high-quality GRAB_NE-related products to meet the needs of our customers, including plasmids, viruses, and cell lines.
