Cyro-Scanning Electron Microscopy (Cryo-SEM) Imaging Service

Cryo-Scanning Electron Microscopy (Cryo-SEM) is an advanced imaging technique that combines the high-resolution capabilities of scanning electron microscopy with the ability to observe samples in their natural, hydrated state. By rapidly freezing samples, Cryo-SEM provides a unique window into the microscopic world, capturing intricate details that might be lost using traditional SEM techniques.

Cryo-SEM Applications

Advancements in Chemical Product Innovation

The acquisition of state-of-the-art Cryo-SEM instruments, such as the Gemini 500, has propelled research across various scientific domains. These instruments are not just limited to biological samples but extend their utility to geological specimens, fossils, soft materials, polymers, nanoparticles, electronics, and even the microstructures of building materials.

Diverse Sample Analysis

The versatility of Cryo-SEM is evident in its ability to analyze a wide range of samples. From biological tissues, geological specimens, and fossils to soft materials, polymers, nanoparticles, and microstructures of building materials, the applications are vast. This breadth of application ensures that researchers and industries can gain insights into almost any sample type, driving innovation and understanding.

Sample Requirements

We accept:

  • Fixed cell/tissue samples
  • Freshly collected samples.

Please include a detailed order form and sample submission form with your submission.

If you need to send fresh, unfixed samples, please contact us in advance to confirm the shipping method.

Service Turnaround Time

The service turnaround time is typically about 2 weeks after sample receipt. In the event of public holidays, the period may need to be extended. Please confirm the specific experiment cycle and sample submission time with Creative Biolabs.

Deliverables

For each sample, we provide 8 images (analysis service is not provided). If more images are required, additional charges will apply.

Please provide feedback on the results within one week of test completion. We do not recommend sample recovery. If needed, please inform Creative Biolabs in advance.
