Product Description
In response to nutrition intake, intestinal endocrine L cells release glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2), a 33 amino acid peptide. GLP-2 affects intestinal physiology in a variety of ways, including by promoting intestinal epithelial cell growth and survival to increase intestinal bulk, enhancing nutrient absorption, and decreasing intestinal inflammation. As with the other members of the glucagon/secretin family of receptors, the activation of the GLP-2 receptor increases intracellular cAMP. The GLP-2 Receptor is a class B GPCR. The cell line is a great tool for researching GLP2R agonists, antagonists, and modulators.
