Product Description
G-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a neurotransmitter that functions by way of GABAA, an ion channel, and GABAB, a GPCR. GABAB1 and GABAB2 subunits, which share 35% of their sequence identity and are members of the class 3 family of GPCRs, combine to form functional GABAB, which is a heterodimer. Agonist activation depends on the GABAB1 subunit, which has the splice variants GABAB1a and GABAB1b. It binds to GABA directly. The cell line is a great tool for researching GABAB agonists, antagonists, and modulators.
